Welcome to my Ynysybwl Page
Although I was born in Londonderry,I was brought up in Ynysybwl.A little town in the valleys near to the Capital Cardiff.
My Father a"Bwl" boy met my mother in Londondery after being
stationed there during the second world war.
He was taken prisoner early on in the war and was imprisoned for
5 years, being shunted around France and Germany most of the war.
my mother took me to Wales as a one year old.
Pictorial History of Ynysybwl (v. 1)
My early years
until I became a teen were spent there until I
married and moved to Aberdare in the 60īs.
Although I now live in Bavaria my heart remains deeply
rooted in Wales.
I am proud of my Celtic roots being half Irish and Welsh
Sort of a Celtic mongrel so to speak.
I am going to tell you about my experiences of growing up
in the "Bwl" in the following pages also included a little
about wonderful people who made a lasting impression on my life.
The website is about mainly ebooks so this story will not be out
of place,it is going to be an ongoing project so I hope you
enjoy and even join in.
A special book for your enjoyment
