Wengen,The Dream Village in the Center of Allgau

Wengen in Allgau is the Village where I live.

A beautiful village nestled in a picturesque valley

in the German state of Bayern ( Bavaria ).

It has about 5-600 inhabitants and is surrounded by spralling

woodland.

Agriculture and Forestry are the main activity to be found here.

One of the oldest cities in Germany Kempten is about 20km away to the East.

The border with Baden Wurtenburg lays just 5 km away to the West.

The Lake of Constance (Bodensee) is 40 km away to the West

On the Austrian border.

Winter Sport can also be

found in the village,

being a skiing village

and not to be confused with

a Swiss town of the same

name.

We have a small well,used

ski slope served by a ski lift.

Where a day card is

very reasonably priced so that a family can have a cheap

day out in beautiful surroundings without breaking the Bank.

The village is part of the Local Authority area known as

The Gemeinde Weitnau

rooms available for rent at very reasonable rates.

° The Fairytale Castle of Neuschwanstein built by King Ludwig 2.

° Centrally situated Wengen is in a perfect position for

° visiting Austria ,Swizerland and of course the

° German cities of Munich an Stuttgart are near at hand .
